About Dr. Jason Rivers, MD, FRCPC, FAAD
Internationally respected dermatologist Dr. Jason Rivers is the chief clinician and researcher behind Riversol.
Having received dermatology training in Canada, England, the United States and Australia, he is board certified in North America. He is a clinical professor of dermatology at the University of British Columbia, where he served as Program Director for six years. Dr. Rivers serves on staff at St. Paul’s Hospital and is also partner at Pacific Dermaestehetics, a private medical cosmetic dermatology practice in Vancouver, BC.
Dr. Rivers has championed public awareness of sun and skin issues for more than 20 years. The head of the Canadian Dermatology Association’s (CDA) National Sun Awareness Program for seven years, Dr. Rivers now serves as the CDA’s British Columbia regional director. He is also past director of CDA’s Sunscreen Education Program. Recently he received the Canadian Dermatology Association President’s Cup for Outstanding Volunteer Achievement and the American Academy of Dermatology’s Gold Triangle Award for Excellence in Public Education.
Dr. Rivers has published more than 135 articles in various journals. He is the editor-in-chief of The Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery and the associate editor of The Skin Therapy Letter.
